“A fabulous hotel at an affordable price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 15 June 2010

There are 2 Al Khaleej hotels in Dubai and this is the Al Khaleej Palace Hotel. I am stressing this point as I read some negative opinions about it and I was really surprised as the hotel is amazing. I think some people wrote about the Al Khaleej hotel and not about the Al Khaleej Palace hotel (the first one is lower quality).
Talking about the Al Khaleej Palace Hotel, I must admit it's simply fantastic. My bedroom was absolutely huge, stylish and very clean, with 2 king size beds and a bathroom covered in green marble.
Breafast was rich and with a great variety of exquisite food. In the lounge there is a free of charge internet connection (with 2 PCs). There was a swimming pool + wellness centre, but as I was there on business, I had no time to visit it.
The staff is extremely nice, polite and helpful, including the Indian chamberpeople, who keep on asking whether they can help.
In the morning, they deliver a local newspaper at every room's door.
I didn't pay directly (as my customer was sponsoring it), but the price was 64 euros per night (in 2009). That was a bargain for such a high quality hotel. You would never get anything similar for such money in Europe.

“Very good value.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 2 May 2009

this hotel is very good for the money. The rooms are exceptionally large with good toiletries in the bathroom. Hotel room was spotless, staff were exceptionally helpful and polite.
The French restaurant looked good although unfortunately I did not have time to try it out, but highly spoken about. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Five minutes in a taxi to City Centre Shopping Mall or the old area of Deira with gold/spice souks.
I also like the Al Khaleej Hotel in Deira (same chain) which is within walking distance to the souks. The people who own this chain of hotels really seem to care about their guests.

“Nice little hotel in the heart of Deira”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 May 2008

This is actually a very nice little hotel in Deira. The rooms are quite nice and the staff is very friendly.Make sure you dont get a room on the first 3 floors because it can get very loud as the restaurants in the mezzanine floor blast their music till the wee hours of the morning. There are a few very good restaurants there one is Sorba the greek restaurant where they have a performances every night and Escoba and very good Arabic restaurant where there are singers and belly dancers... very good looking belly dancers. They also have Miyaku an original Japanese restaurant where most of the Japanese in Dubai dine. Well in the top floor you have a nice bar with sexy waitresses, its nice atmosphere. I recommend the hotel, but the truth is that in Dubai you take pretty much any hotel you can find, they are almost always full.
