I had my flight back to Europe from Dubai airport, after a week spent in Abu Dhabi.
As i had a morning flight i wanted a comfortable hotel near the airport. Al-Bustan is about 1km, or less than 5 minutes by car, from the terminal. Though you may consider it an airport hotel, all its features make you feel really comfortable and surrounded by discreet luxury, with a very wide choice of restaurants and other facilities.
I had a club room on the third floor and access to the club lounge where you can enjoy a variety of foods and beverages for free.
It is the right place for some short meetings or just to have a snack in peace, after a busy week.
Price is slightly on the high side, but i am afraid this is a constant in the UAE.

We have stayed 3 nights at Rotana Bustan and was amazed by the quality of service, size of the room, the amenities and the various F&B outlets. Rotana hotels have the reputation of excellent service even if staying at one of their 3* hotels which i have had the chance to experience. But Rotana Bustan being a 5* hotel tops them all.
The staff was very helpful in helping us find a nice moonlight boat trip experience, they really managed to book us a boat dinner tour when we approached them late in the evening at 20:00. They went the extra mile to do all contacts with their agent and to book us for the night. The moonlight tour that was recommended by the hotel staff exceeded our expectations, we had an amazing time.

I spent one evening at this hotel because my flight was delayed. The hotel is exactly what I expected from a Rotana property. Great service, comfortable, clean and many amenities not to mention a beautiful decor throughout the hotel. My only complaint is the slow check-in/check-out. They seem to be a bit slower than the towers Rotana.

This review is based on 4 stays over the past 9 months and I have been impressed every time by the hotel, its facilites and above all, its staff. On each occasion I've arrived off a long-haul flight at silly o'clock in the morning and from the Driver picking me up from Arrivals, through to check-in, to my bags being delivered to my room, the staff have have been helpful, friendly and efficient. The bed is always a luxury after an overnight flight, and the rooms have been well appointed, clean and well tended by the house keeping staff.

The Club Rotana is worth the extra cost, if only to sit in a lounge that feels like your are floating 3 floors up in the middle of the atrium. That aside the complimentary food and drink at breakfast, afternoon tea and happy hour are very good value for money, plentiful and well presented and you are (again) well looked after by the staff. I can recommend the Thai restaurant, The Blue Elephant, at the hotel. A very wide selection of buffet and á lá carte menu as well as a drinks menu will challenge the hungriest and thirstiest.
