“Decent hotel very close to the metro station”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 February 2012

Stayed here for 3 days earlier this month and thought the hotel was quite nice. Location wise, the metro is very close so you don't have to rely on the ever so arrogant taxi drivers (my experience with the taxi drivers has been horrid). The rooms are good though I upgraded myself to club level which was well worth it. The staff is very friendly and helpful. It's a great hotel and the fact that it is close to the airport, it is an advantage as you don't want to sit in the Dubai traffic all day long when you're trying to take the flight out.

Presumably, my review isn't very helpful, but to conclude, it offers what it promises. So well worth it. Though, if you're on a holiday, you'd definitely want to stay in Downtown Dubai / Jumeirah Beach area.

I do have one negative point - I went upstairs to the spa and was told the masseuse wasn't available but I could have a facial instead. Being my last day, I agreed to it and probably that's the last time I will ever go in for something like that. In the pursuit of cleaning my skin with a blackhead remover, I had at least 20 small cuts on my forehead and my face (very painful). If it wasn't for me being a long holiday, I would have created a big fuss about it - but I let it slide.

Room Tip: Upgrade to club level.

“Beautiful hotel, needs a service overhaul.”

This hotel has great potential. It is very beautiful and modern. The rooms are nice.

I called down to ask questions and the gentleman who answered the phone was unable to communicate. I had to have him transfer me to the front desk so I could speak with someone who speaks English.

I had to call back about an issue and was told that someone would call back with the answer. It never happened.

I then called the front desk about check out and the woman was simply condescending and rude.

For the price it was decent. I won't go back.

“Competitive price, average hotel”

Traders hotel is located near the airport. We arrived from Ireland early in the morning at 2am and the journey from the airport to the hotel was only around 15 minutes. Upon checking in, there had been some mix-up with the length of stay between the travel agent and the hotel. We were booked in for 3 nights but it was registered as 1 night at the hotel. I explained and the forwarded the confirmation email from the agent to the reception. They said they will adjust the system. We still received a phone call from the reception the next day enquiring our checking out time. I had to explain the whole story again to them.

We booked into a club room which includes breakfast and happy hour with food and alcohol from 5-8pm. The room was small but clean but there was some sort of stale smell from the room. It was not a problem as soon as the air-condition was switched on. The breakfast was average. As for the happy hour, there were great selection of hot food, snacks and alcohol. The free WI-FI only available in the club room.

Overall the hotel is OK for its price in Dubai.

“Business and leisure trip Dubai”

Traders Dubai is an impressive building. The superior rooms though are on the smaller side like most hotels in Dubai. The staff are very helpful and efficient. Watch out for dodgy billings to your room.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the 88 lounge from the third floor are quieter.

“Traders: Where service eclipses the silver city!”

Convenient to the Airport and next to a main metro station, Traders (Dubai) truly has something for every one. Get any kind of upgrade they offer: the, "snacks and drinks" on the 5th floor are superior to anything you can find in town, especially when one considers the time and effort saved. Pool, Jacuzzi and a wonderful staff; we loved them all. My wife took advantage of the Massage service just before she made the return flight to the US. My flight was cancelled and the staff was able to extend my check out time so that I could take a nap and catch a later flight to my destination. All the hotels in this town really are first rate, but it was the personal attention to detail that has me returning to this hotel on my next trip. Breakfast was over the moon!!!

Room Tip: Although we were close to the airport and situated on a thoroughfare, we heard no traffic. I suppos...
