“Regal was surprisingly quiet, especially considering other reviews here.”

A great place to stay, and would stay there again. The Regal Hotel was not at all what I was expecting after reading some of the negative reviews on TripAdvisor and other places. Many complained about the hotel’s night clubs’ noise reaching the upper floors, disturbing sleep. Well, truth be told, the real reason I decided to stay here was out of curiosity of seeing what those clubs were about. Getting to sleep would not be much of an issue though. Where I work, loud aircraft and unexpected explosions are quite normal, so a light bass thump is relatively benign for me. Ironically, I never made it to clubs, nor could I hear them. And this was on a Friday night.

Check-in was fast and efficient, and the employees were easy on the eyes. The room was clean and comfortable. Hot water worked right away. Climate controls, no problem. Room smelled pleasant. On the negative side, it was a bit smaller than what I was expecting, and there was a small amount of mildew (see pic) on the shower tiles near the faucets.

This area is very central. A grocery store (Spinneys) is nearby, and there is plenty of shopping within walking distance. The Al-Fahidi metro station is literally right outside the front door.

Room Tip: Just in case the hotel clubs are booming that night, ask for a room on the highest floor possible wh...

“Recent trip to Dubai”

This hotel was booked as a package holiday with flights via the internet. Hotel is equivalent to travel lodge back home in the UK. Basic rooms. No team/coffee making facilities however. You get what you pay for. Chinese restaurant is the only option for half board. But the food was really good. Hotel has a club which is opened until the early hours of the morning so it is a little noisy. Also, there is a very busy street outside so watch out for cars. New metro station is right outside however which is a big plus for getting around.

Room Tip: When we arrived we were given a twin room as this seems to be more of a business hotel, rather than...

“Not bad hotel”

Very save option in Dubai. Location of this hotel is nice, all tourist destinations are accesable by taxi. Metro station is very close. Staff is friendly and helpfull. Breakfast is not bad. Dinner a la carte is better. WiFi is free. Rooms are clean and big, but haven't been renovated for many years. Price is reasonable.

“Great value”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 September 2011

Great place to stay if you're in Dubai on a long business trip and not on a huge budget. Central location, simple. comfortable and clean rooms. Great sports bar with English pub grub and the Friday brunch is a real blow out. And I think they do the best biryani in town When I was commuting from London and Abu Dhabi they were happy to do my laundry and keep my suitcase sometimes for six weeks. It also has a disco which is well known for jaded business men looking for company or so I've heard!

Room Tip: Away from the thumping disco and at the back with no view but quiet
