Can't fault this place, particularly the staff and service. Stayed for 2 nights on my way through Dubai, and ended up arriving at 7:30am rather than my intended later time. The staff found me an empty room and allowed me to check in early at no extra charge - a great help which let me catch a few zzzz's and enjoy the rest of my scarce days in Dubai!

The room itself was great - really large room, with kitchenette, huge bathroom, and even a clothes washer/dryer. That last part was a real boon - nothing like being able to watch your clothes without hunting down a laundromat or sitting in a laundry room watching your clothes like a hawk for 2 hours.

The aircon, necessarily, was also excellent.

Location wise, it was right across from Lamcy Plaza (a small one relatively speaking) - and the Bombay Chowpatti in there was delicious (try the Pav Bhaji- exactly like what they give you on the beach in Mumbai). Taxi's were always available. The front desk manager got me a driver on the last day to show me around Dubai, which was good. Of course if you can engage a driver directly it's likely to be cheaper.

Overall, great experience and would book there again if I come through Dubai again.

It was our first trip to Dubai - our daughter has live there for the past year. We wanted to stay somewhere near to her apartment and she suggested the Splendid - just a ten minute walk away. We arrived before check in time. The reception staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming and we were pleasantly surprised to be shown to an apartment straight away. We had booked a studio - the apartment we were checked into had two bedrooms! Our apartment was very clean and was serviced daily - not just clean towels, but clean sheets as well. It is difficult to find fault with the Splendid - if we were being picky the apartment could have done with a coat of paint and the bathroom could do with re-grouting. However, it perfectly suited our needs - it gave us the flexibility to self-cater (there are three supermarkets, a bakery and a fishmonger within five minutes walk) and it is within twenty minutes' taxi ride of all the main attractions. The staff were superb. We cannot comment on the pool, the gym, the restaurant or room service, as we did not use them.

Stayed here over Christmas & the New Year. The apartments are extremely spacious, far larger than other Hotel apartments that I have stayed in around the world. Very close to Wafi Mall & the airport, so the location was great. I would certainly recommend Splendid Hotel Apartments to all visitors to Dubai looking for good value, quality hotel apartments .

The hotel is very clean and in a great location in central Dubai. I have visited Dubai before and made the mistake of staying out of town - thankfully this didn't happen this time as Dubai is very spread out, so important to stay somewhere central so that most of it becomes accessible.

We stayed in a studio apartment which had ample room for the 2 of us. The studio had a small kitchen area (with washing machine, microwave and fridge) and a large bathroom (although clean, the bath could have done with being re-grouted though).

The hotel is located next to Lamcy Plaza mall - which is quite dated by Dubai standards, but contained some quirky shops (interesting Japanese value store Daisos on the top floor!) and a baskin robbins (for a yummy chocolate milkshake!). There are also some restaurants/cafes within the Lamcy area - Carribou Coffee, Lemongrass (thai) and Chillis to name a few. There are plenty of food places in the the food court area of Lamcy.

It is very easy to get around by taxi from the hotel - there are loads of taxis around and there is a rank outside Lamcy Plaza. The nearest metro is at the Burjurman centre - short taxi ride away.

Staff at the hotel were very very helpful and polite.

There is a restaurant at the hotel but we didn't try it out. There is also a small swimming pool and a well equipped gym.

All in all, a great stay and would return - the location of the hotel is its best selling point. The hotel is definitely not one of the more glizty Dubai hotels, but it suited us perfectly.
