Stayed at the Star Metro in Deira, Dubai for one night, and have stayed here before. This is a nice, large, full service hotel about a 10 minute drive from the Dubai International airport.

VERY clean, large and spacious rooms, which Americans like me absolutely love (Americans love big rooms), and so it is no suprise that I always find a large contingent of western travelers staying here. Beds are very comfortable, AC works well, beautifully appointed bathrooms with lots of hot water.

Great food at restaurant located on ground floor and very convenient hours, especially the dinner menu, which is available pretty late into the evening, which is nice if you are arriving from a late flight at the Dubai airport.

Location seems to be good, as it is located directly across from the large Reef mall.

Also, a very well equipped and attractive gym and spa located on the 3rd floor, and a great rooftop swimming pool that is perfect for soaking in some arabian sun!

Nice choice if staying in Dubai for a few days!

The rooms at StarMetro Deira are like luxury suites. Large refridgerators, dishwasher, and all the usual amenities. I'm not a too demanding customer, so I don't know much about room service and such. Their cafeteria is good, with a number of choices. The hotel has a reasonably priced gift shop and a mall across the street, with an inexpensive grocery store attached. The staff is quite friendly and you can get good prices from the cab drivers who hang out by the parking lot. My employer uses this hotel a lot and I'm always happy when I get to be at the StarMetro.

I stayed at this hotel while attending an exhibition in Dubai. The location is brilliant as it is about equal distance between the airport and the exhibition centre. The metro runs to a nearby station and I was told that a new metro station will be open soon right next to the hotel. I did my shopping and had my meals at the Reef Mall opposite, with supermarkets and Marks & Spencer next to it. The apartment was very spacious and clean, with a well equipped kitchen. Staff were very helpful and polite. Would definitely go back again.
