“PERFECT HOTEL!!!!! BEST CHOICE!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 May 2009

I went there acouple of times.... love the stay its modern & CLEAN!!!!! i have been in other hotels in esfahan... but this one is by far the most clean.. modern and relaxing hotels I've stayed in!!!! Did i mention clean!!! hahaha!!! I know some people have written expenive but trust me with this hotel its not only worth it but they have not even seen the other hotels to compare it... this hotel was the best that u can find in esfahan!!! it might not be as close to the famous square (bazaar) but its ina great location and its rotating returant on the top floor makes up for the 15 minute drive to the square. The restuarant provides a great overview of esfahan.... you feel like your on top of a mountain...! Just a FYI if people really really wanna just see the sqaure.. they have a hotel down there called Setareh hotel... which has is being managed by Aseman hotel... but i gatta say it honestle isnt as clean as this one... its a bit more traditional.. but deff try the restaurant there too.. you can get a feel of traditional foods in iran and all.... overall Aseman hotel is the hotel to be at when your visiting esfahan!!!! no lies!!!! DID I MENTION CLEAN!! HAHA !!!!

“overpriced hotel but great location”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 April 2009

just in front of the river, close to the famous brdige and busy high road. 3 stars only hotel.staff helpfull, just about....Be aware of package deals. We went for 3 nights but eventually we decided to leave after the second night. Reception staff in the morning when we tried to check out, stated we needed to pay the third night as the priced quoted initially was for a package of 3 nights. We argued...we won.
breakfast contained local food, no international...basic...but ok.
clean enough. Bathroom:toilet european, no bidet and of course no bath, just a shower. the parking at the hotel is miserable, but exists!!

“An excellent choice for Esfahan - but a little on the expensive side”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 May 2008

I stayed here for three nights in April and although I really liked the hotel, I thought it was on the expensive side. I booked the accommodation through a travel agency in Tehran and since the more centrally-located Kowsar was fully-booked, they put me in the Aseman.

It came to about $230 for three nights’ stay which is quite expensive for Iran. But the room was nice, and bed was comfortable. There's an in-room safe, cable TV, bath with bathplug, western-style toilet and free wi-fi in the lobby. There are also computer terminals on the mezzanine but it costs 40 000 rials an hour so you're better off going towards Engelab Square for the internet cafes there which cost just 6000-10000 rial an hour. Hotel staff were very helpful, and there’s an Iran Air desk in the lobby to help with bookings. Breakfast was rather good – it’s included in the price and continues until 10.00.

Engelab Square is a nice 20-minute walk away, and the hotel is right by the river on the north bank - roughly two bridges west of Engelab Square. You can take a bus there too but the walk along the river and into the park is lovely during the day or night (when the rats come out, unfortunately).

Imam Square is actually quite far away – 50 minutes walk but the scenery is nice so that’s forgivable. It’s close to Jolfa, the Armenian district though. But compared to others like the Kowsar, the Aseman may not be the most convenient of hotels for all the tourist sites unless you take a taxi.

The hotel is a 50 000 rial taxi-ride from the airport, and around 30 000 rial to the bus terminal, Kaveh in the north of the city.

  • Liked — The views and the walk along the river towards the city centre
  • Disliked — its location and price.

“Aseman Hotel was a good choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 May 2008

A modern upscale hotel. The rooms were clean and modern. The beds were firm, and the toilets were western style. Your room key also turns on the lights in the room, which helps save energy and makes it less likely to forget where you put it. The hotel is a block away from the Zayandeh River and there are nearby parks. As with any walking in Iran, don't assume any car will stop for you. Traffic is crazy in this city, as elsewhere. Cabs are cheap, and if you can find an Esfanhani native to speak to vendors, so is the Bazaar. They tend to raise prices for foreign visitors. Make sure to visit the bridges where people picnic and sing.

On our last day, we decided to hire a cab for a few hours to give us a tour. It was well worth our money (which wasn't much). Our cabbie showed us parts of Esfahan we wouldn't have found on our own, including Dove Tower, the baths, and a couple minars.

  • Liked — Close to heart of city
  • Disliked — Checkout took some time while they checked the room
