This is not the first time i stay in this hotel, i was there 5 years ago but don't recall any of the issues i had this trip.
The hotel is old, but very well maintained, the lobby is huge and very relaxing, the staff is extremely friendly. The med and mattress are quite comfortable. The food is good, buffet is average in size but tasty, the restaurant in the lobby is perfect. The gym is perfect and the outdoor swimming pool is convenient after a long hot day. however, for the following points i will not come back to this hotel:
1-on high floors, you can hear the noise from the AC compressor on the roof, i had to change my room from the 5th floor to the 4th floor, i could always hear the sound but i gave up, and finally adapted to sleep with the noise on
2-Palestine street is always busy, so getting in and out of the hotel takes time
3-if you are not the type that prays at 4:30AM, make sure you book a room where you don't hear the moske loud speakers.
4-Internet is not free and is expensive, 80SAR+16% tax for 24hours, so just go and buy a 3g Dongle and use in on your laptop for 100SAR / 5Gb (mobily or STC)
