Stayed there as the rest of the group I was with was there and stays there often. I have stayed there before for the same reason.
It was conveniently located.
Service was excellent in all matters, specially reception staff, each one of them, and a little special thanks to Mohammed Qadri who was very helpful in getting my Boarding Card printed as he added that little special service that shows that someone wants to help you.
Rooms definitely need upgrading, and specially the carpets and bathrooms.
Beds were very comfortable.
Space in the room was very adequate with a good desk area. No WiFi in the room, only cable so Ok for the laptop, but not for handheld devices, but WiFi was available throughout the Lobby.
I had arranged for a car to the airport, and was sitting in the lobby with my colleagues and the car rental desk staff came to look for me in time and to make sure I was not late.
Definitely one of those hotels that the people is what makes you want to stay there again.
Once it is upgraded it could well deserve a 5.
