I stayed in this hotel while on a business trip to Jeddah. I had a very positive experience there. The hotel is nicely located, not far from the old city (al-Balad) and many of the more central destinations in Jeddah. One thing to keep in mind: the hotel is slightly out of the way, down a side street and not very visible from the main road, so taxi drivers will not always have an easy time finding it. If you plan to stay there I would recommend having the hotel's phone number on your mobile phone so you can call for directions if necessary. Also be aware that the hotel is reached via the King Fahd Road, but many taxi drivers will know it by its old name (Siteen Road). My room was extremely clean and well-furnished. There was an HDTV with many channels and wireless internet access. There is also a restaurant with table service located in the hotel, and a franchise of the very popular fried chicken restaurant Al Baik (like a Saudi KFC) is located across the street, so you can easily find something to eat nearby.
The best part was the staff, who were always friendly, polite, and helpful. Whenever I needed to call a cab, figure out directions to a different part of the city, or get advice about what to see in Jeddah, they were always eager to help. I especially owe my thanks to Mohammed, the Front Office Manager, who went well above and beyond the call of duty to mail me my iPod that I had forgotten at the hotel.
