Stayed here for 2 nights in January 2012 on a business trip. Room had not much of a view (courtyard view) but was of a good size. Bed was really comfortable was a good choice of pillows.

Check-in and out was fast and efficient. Breakfast was the same the both days I stayed but of decent quality (with an egg station as well).

There is a mall right across the hotel with a supermarket and couple of simple cafes.

On 23rd February, 2009, I wrote this:

The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, the service is pleasant and attentive, the location is good, but the food is very poor indeed. Breakfasts are the worst I've come across in 4 or 5 star hotels in the Middle East. The evening buffet has very little variety and misses most of the things you expect -- no prawns, not even any tabouleh! The specialist restaurants (like Texas, the steak house, and Tagine, the would-be Moroccan restaurant) are best avoided. Stay here for good location and a comfortable bed, but eat out.

The Manager commented:

We are improving the quality of food not only on the Seafood night but in our other Theme nights as well during the whole week

I would say they’ve done that. The food still isn’t great, but it’s better than it was and as good as Jeddah hotels generally have to offer. My last experience didn’t put me off returning, and I’ll be back again.

stayed at the Le meridien Jeddah for four days on business,

Pros:
- the rooms are spacious and clean
- Wireless internet was very good
- room service was fast
- Late check out free of charge (until 3 pm)
- Gym had sufficient equipment
- Location is good on Madina street

cons:
- TV system had a loud whistling sound coming from it, moreover not a good channel variety
- buffet Food was acceptable, not the best though. the use of chicken thighs instead of chicken breasts on all chicken dishes was a bit cheap, and after the seafood night you can see the left overs on next day's menu.


overall would book it again when on business.
