“A well managed Hilton”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 February 2012

The hotel is located in a secured compound by the sea (although there is a large street in between) in the North of Jeddah at about 30 minutes from the International airport (JED). It is a triangle building with a very large lobby (that is open up to the 12th floor) with nice fountains. The decoration is in general done with taste.

Airport pick-up was smooth as was the check-in. I was allocated a room with a sea view (at my request) with a lounge access (I am a HH Gold member - lounge is in the 12th floor with a nice view). Room was decently large with a seating corner and a small terrace (the later was unfortunately very dusty - the hotel management should instruct its staff to clean it on a daily basis). See view was lateral as no room are totally in front of the see. Bathroom was large although the toilets are in a small corner which is not comfortable for a tall or large user. Good king sized bed.

Wifi internet (decently quick) is available in all the hotel at a cost (above USD 25 per day).
There are three restaurants (plus one by the open air pool) in the Hilton plus a couple in the adjacent Qasr Al Sharq Hotel (same owners so they can charge the room as well).
A quite fully equipped gym facility (with a large indoor swimming pool, squash courts and a bowling) is also available.
Business centre and meeting rooms are first class (and hence very busy!).

All together the Hilton is a quite good option for a business trip to Jeddah.

Room Tip: Non Muslin guests might want to avoid the rooms next to the mosque since the call for the first pray...

“Quite comfortable and close to the sea side”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 January 2012

The Hotel is 30 min away from the International airport by taxi (around 15 SAR). The hotel looks safe with Police people at the entrance and the lbby is huge and good looking. Personnel is avaialble and kind and always smiling. I got th eupgradign of my room and the entrance to the Executive lounge because of Hilton Gold member. The room was not the best good looking room for an Hilton but clean and with all standard Hilton comforts. They still have the YHilton old beauty products line in the rooms. Breakfast was good and with a large n,. of choices and they also offer homemeade belgian waffles which is not the same 100% of times as Hilton. The hotel is 3 min walking away from the sea side where you can walk safe during the evening. The executive lounge is comfortable and spacious and the view on the sea is amazing. The Gym is very good, one of the best I have visited until now in the hotels. Good hotel for Jeddah, price is average price for Hilton.

“Sublime”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 January 2012

My first trip to Saudi and my they know how to look after you and treat you well.

Right from pick up at the airport to checking out, i didn't have a single grievance.

Food - On point, the buffet caters to everyones taste, so many dishes available its so difficult to choose. Food is hot and top quality with the option of many restaurants on the ground floor.

Service - You get treated like a king and they make you feel like you're the only one staying there

Rooms - Very plush, you can tell a lot of money was spent on the decor, furniture and ambience. Top grade stuff.

Price - Hefty but well worth it.

GYM - Stacked, all equipments under the sun and in top nick too. They have a bowling alley, swimming pool and sauna to boot, all underground.

Location - About 35 minutes drive from the airport.

Verdict - Will one hundred per cent come back and stay, even if i can't have a tipple!

“Jeddah Hilton”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

Very good hotel, rooms were very clean and tidy. Business areas were secluded allowing you to work outside of your room if you wanted to. Great views overlooking the Red Sea.
Swimming pool area was very clean and secluded with pool temperature spot on.

“good business hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

Good location (yet away from center) - attention - in January 2012 there is still construction going on (for the beach side). Staff at front desk not at level for this kind of hotel. Hence, rooms are clean and fairly big, In the same building there are two hotels...
If you need a taxi get it from the street. At the hotel you will only and exclusively get limousine from hotel (more expensive). But if you take from the street negotiate price before entering.
