“"Horrible" My NIGHTMARE"”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 December 2009

I DONT recommend this Establishment or this What they Called "Hotel" but this is not! a Hotel! which you can relax and feel comfortable at all!You hear a very Loud music inside your room at 3:00am!The room service staff are good as well as the restaurant staff but the food they served was not suitable for westerners. The Egyptian receptionist at front office and the Duty Manager was not approachable at all They always starred at you when you ask something.

“Stay here if you go to sleep only at 3am”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 November 2009

I have been staying at this hotel for the past 3 weeks and I am sorry to say that I have to stay here for at least another week. I have stayed at 4 hotels in Jeddah so far and I must say that this is the worst one I have stayed at!

There is a wedding celebration going on nearly every night and it lasts into the wee hours of the morning. The music is loud but what bugs me the most is that the bass is turned up on high so much so that it is IMPOSSIBLE TO GO TO SLEEP.

The service staff (Indians, Pakistanis, Filipino and Saudi alike) stare at you when you pass them without so much as a smile, let alone a greeting.

The gym is pathetic and the treadmills look like they are going to break into two at any time. The wireless internet is ok but the connection is dodgy... you will expect not to be able to go online at least once or twice in a week.

Needless to say, complaints fall on deaf ears. Thank God I am moving to another hotel by the end of the week!

“jinxed in jeddah”

I would not reccommend this place to anyone western. The only reason I stayed here was under the recommendation of my 'saudi' friend. Its difficult to stay in a hotel as a lone female anyway especially in saudi but to stay in this hotel is most definately not recommended. The room service staff and domestic staff were lovely the reception staff were, shall I say slightly arrogant! The Hotel happened to host a saudi wedding everynight I was there so I sometimes did not get to sleep till around 4am as my room was opposite the wedding party!. I did complain but I am sure nothing was done about it.

I was also the target for arab men one of which knocked on my door at Half one in the morning and told me which room he was staying in! Needless to say I hid in my room with a chair wedged against the door! I was stared at whenever I entered reception and often hurriedly made my way to the lifts and to the saftey of my room! I was in an area where no one spoke english so getting a taxi was a hassel especially when my arabic was not top notch so I was often taken for a 'ride' by many of jeddahs dishonest taxi drivers. The food was overpriced in the hotel and terrible needless to say I lost a bit of weight whilst staying there and there were no takeaways near to hand except ones with a menu in arabic and men oggling me. Im sure this hotel suits the natives but not westerners or lone females. It was overpriced and grubby and in a not so western friendly area. I think I would of preferred a B&B by blackpool pleasure beach at least I know what to expect!

  • Liked — The nice filipino room service staff
  • Disliked — The food, cheap toilet paper and the sleepless nights
