Just around the corner from the Citadel of Aleppo, this is a refined and comfortable hotel. The path is well marked with gold toned signs posted at each turn from the main street. The lobby, the rooms and the public spaces are beautifully appointed in Damascene silk with the obvious eye of a sophisticated decorator.
We were greeted by a gracious staff who had upgraded our rooms to suites. Our room had linen sheets, flat screen TV, free wi-fi, mini bar and complimentary fruit and water. The bathroom had a marble soaking tub, full shower, separate WC and unique marble sink.
Breakfast was downstairs past a bar area that boasted a fabulous back-lite marble bar. Breakfast is table service with traditional options (olives, cheese, bread, hummus) and a la carte options available (omelets, farina). The food was lovely as was the service.
Beit Salahieh is a luxurious, beautiful experience. We were sad to have to leave.
Room Tip: some rooms have 2 levels with bathroom on 2nd levl
