“Best hotel in Syria”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 October 2011

The best hotel we stayed in during a 3 week tour of Jordan and Syria. Not only did they have the best beds, the rooms were very comfortable, beautifully furnished and almost everything worked (the shower was a bit iffy but the bath was great). Lovely friendly staff, good food, well situated the only hotel we would return to out of the 10 hotels we stayed in

“Fantastic building, great rooms”

The Beit Salahieh Hotel is an architectural gem. There are courtyards, many staircases, arches, vaults - an incredible space just waiting to be discovered. Each room is completely unique, and ours was very charming. High ceilings with natural stone, and a comfortable large bed.
The location is excellent - just steps away from the Citadel and very close to the souk, one of the most interesting and lively areas of Aleppo.
The staff was courteous and hepful.
A hotel that we can highly recommend

“Highly recommended”

We spent four nights at Beit Salahieh in March and throughly enjoyed the hotel and the city of Aleppo. It is a charming renovation in a lovely area of town. The whole place is full of gorgeous vistas and corners, very romantic. The rooms are individually decorated and extremely tasteful with lovely bathrooms. We found the staff helpful and I enjoyed the massage, though there was some distracting noise from another client using the spa.

Aleppo is a great destination, culture, shopping, great food, we plan to return soon. I have a longer review, with photos of Beit Salaheih and places we visited in Syria, on my blog at somuchmoretosee.blogspot.com/2011/04/beit-salahieh-aleppo.html

I hope it's helpful!

“Wish we could have stayed much longer.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 May 2011

Just around the corner from the Citadel of Aleppo, this is a refined and comfortable hotel. The path is well marked with gold toned signs posted at each turn from the main street. The lobby, the rooms and the public spaces are beautifully appointed in Damascene silk with the obvious eye of a sophisticated decorator.

We were greeted by a gracious staff who had upgraded our rooms to suites. Our room had linen sheets, flat screen TV, free wi-fi, mini bar and complimentary fruit and water. The bathroom had a marble soaking tub, full shower, separate WC and unique marble sink.

Breakfast was downstairs past a bar area that boasted a fabulous back-lite marble bar. Breakfast is table service with traditional options (olives, cheese, bread, hummus) and a la carte options available (omelets, farina). The food was lovely as was the service.

Beit Salahieh is a luxurious, beautiful experience. We were sad to have to leave.

Room Tip: some rooms have 2 levels with bathroom on 2nd levl
