The guest house although only 10 years old looks and feels much older-dated in fact. It is approx 10 minutes walk to places of interest and at night is very quiet and dark.
Staff were helpful and pleasant but typical of all hotels in Laos would leave you alone-no one would ask you for example if you room was comfortable, where have you been, how was your day etc, etc.
Rooms are clean and ample size, breakfast is served outside.
The guesthouse is expensive compared to similar nearby hotels and guesthouses several more modern.

I don't really have much to say - nice enough guest house with nice enough rooms in a decent location.

Sabaidee Gest House is the place where you plan to feel comfortable. Some friends, based in Lao, recommended us to book our rooms at Sabaidee Guest House. We initially planed to stay few days only during Pimai celebration. But we decided to extend our stay to 2 weeks. Why? Not only because the rooms are clean and comfortable, but also because of the really warm welcome of Sabaidee's team.

In Luang Prabang, you can find very nice "boutique hotels" or "traditional wooden guest house", but what stands out at Sabaidee Guest House is that you really feel at home.

this is the typical guesthouse in Laos, quite basic, but no major problems with it.

Bed are rock solid but they provide a fluffy bed cover, that I put under the bedsheet to create some bounce so I slept ok thanks to that.

No telly, no phone, basic, straight accommodation.

As in most guesthouses in Laos, the bathroom didn't have a bath or a shower area, the shower was in the middle of the bathroom, and there's no curtain around the tap area or like a basin to contain the water, just the floor, so you have to take care to remove the toilet paper andyour clothes roll so it doesn't get wet. the water goes down a drain in the middle of the floor. The good news is that there is hot water.

Its a bit of a walk from the city centre (about 15 mins) and the road where the hotel is, is a bit dark, I was with my husband, so I was ok, but I would have not liked to walk through there alone.

Their laundry service is a bit expensive, there are cheaper places down the road.

We didn't have breakfast there, but at a lovely bakery on the main road.
