Moved rooms after we found the shower did not work properly . Amazed to see new arrivals given our first room 5 minutes later with no attempt to fix shower.
Room not clean, bed linen smelled. Garden area becoming a mess.
Good quiet location. Free internet. No aircon in our room, but the fan was more than adequate to keep us cool. Price would be reasonable if the condition and cleanliness were brought up to the standard it might once have enjoyed.

As I walked through the littered courtyard to my room, I thought I might possibly have made a mistake in booking this room sight unseen, but going into the room I knew it. The room, though a non-smoking room, smelled like cigarette smoke. The bathroom smelled of urine and was moldy. Come to think of it, there were mildew stains on the bedsheet, but only a bottom sheet, no top sheet, and for a blanket, something about the size of a lap blanket. The lights over the bed didn't work, the bathroom sink leaked, and the walls were dirty. The internet didn't work while I was there (though probably not their fault). The bed was hard and worst of all, lumpy. I could feel the bed springs. The proprietor was not friendly and seemed put out when I asked for a blanket. Apart from that the place was fine -- for somebody else maybe. I checked out the next day and went across the road to a very nice guesthouse about the same price.

Simple, clean, cheap, with a lot of services (Wi-Fi with a good broadband is a plus), good "croques-monsieurs", speaking good english and French...
At least "above average"...
