I stayed with my family at this hotel for seven nights in August 2006 and it was six nights too long. Im not normally fussy and despite having travelled extensively in the UK(where i live) and abroad Ive never complained about anything at a hotel before. The room we were given (despite being executive suite) was dirty. The bathroom hadnt been cleaned in a long time, the floors and windows in the room were dirty. there was no hot water and despite being told that the hotel had electricity generators if the power supply was cut we were left in darkness for hours on end. Of course that meant the air conditioning didnt work either and we were roasting. The attitude of the staff was self righteous and arrogant. They really couldnt care less whether we were comforatble or not. I was given another room which was better but to be honest I didnt enjoy the rest of my stay because of the attitude of the staff. It is also expensive compared to similar hotels in Europe and the USA. They have matched the price to quality hotels but not the service or attitude.Since this experience friends have told me the Days Inn in Karachi is a great place to stay. Thats where Ill be going next time around. Thank fully this experience didn't put me off going back to Karachi.
