If you are visiting Karachi, this is a nice place to stay. Staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. Accomodations are simple, but more than adequate. Very clean. The AC works well and is loud enough to drown out the loud city noise and early morning call to prayer. Pricing is great, especially room service. We would have tea and cookies delivered each morning for about 160 rupees, which works out to less than $2.00. There are 2 restaurants which serve good, traditional Pakistani foods. We would have them serve our pot of water for tea and coffee from the kitchen instead of the warmer on the buffet. Seemed to be hotter and therefore safer to drink. Speaking of drinking water I would use bottled water to brush your teeth and keep your mouth closed when you are taking a shower. And, a hint for any third world country...make sure all bottled water is sealed before you drink it.
We felt extremely safe at this hotel. There have been hotel bombings in the past, but they are usually targeted at the bigger, more American hotels.
The hotel has a money changer downstairs, but if you are changing large amounts of money I would find a better exchange rate.
There is also a chemist and small store downstairs which is nice if you need any medications or snacks.
All in all...one of the nicest places I've stayed in that part of the world.
