I stayed at his hotel in late September 2011. At USD 100+, it was very poor value for money - one of those hotels taken over decades ago by local management, and allowed to slide into disrepair.

The room on the eighth floor smelt stale, or possibly of cat, though I suspect it was dampness. Someone had recently been smoking in it. The television was old, and didn't work, the internet connection didn't work, and the water in the tap was brown. The original hangers in the closet had been replaced by cheap plastic ones. The breakfast was average. When we arrived, after midnight, the rooms were not made up, despite our having booked several days in advance, and no questions about the booking having been received.

Staff were friendly enough, and helpful - I arrived late at night, and they sent someone out to get some medicine for my bad stomach.

It was very impressive, cosy and enough clean! The breakfasts were wonderful and one could find anything he wants out of 10-18 kinds of dishes and 5-8 kinds of sweets and many kinds of juices and fresh salads...Bathrooms are clean and the rooms and quite big and furnished very well in classical manner :) We liked this Hotel;)

The pros: 1) Architecture of the building is good (designed by Yasmin Lari about 30 years back). 2) The foyer is impressive.

The cons: Just about everything else. Cockroaches all over the place. And was that a small rodent I spied in the restaurant? Service sullen and uncooperative. Food sucks, not even safe to eat. Hygiene could be much much better.

This is definitely not a 5-star hotel. Even by the dismal standards of Pakistan, this can't be more than 3 stars. Take your custom elsewhere is my advice -- I recommend Avari Toweres, of if you're on a budget maybe Hotel Beach Luxury

Hotel Location is very good, You will find all the basic needs, the service is not upto mark, Internet connection is very slow, Hotel is very neat and clean, the Food is very good
