“Don't Look anywhere Else!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 January 2012

This is a well balanced hotel, offers you what you need, good price not the biggest rooms but then the price is relative. I've stayed at the Avari and this NOT good value, This hotel offers the traveller the essentials and more - difficult to find, not obvious, buit then that adds to the security, OK buffet breakfast, but could do with rotating the options, same every day whllst i was there - BACKED beans of the hienz varitey on offer!!!

Room Tip: Take your swimming trunks, and save some money for a massage - all available!

“Comfortable stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 December 2011

I have stayed at the Residency for 2 nights in October 2011. There are no signs at the outside, which is good for the security. Inside is a well managed hotel. Smooth and welcoming check-in, spacious rooms, nice decorated, Daily newspaper incusive. Restaurant was o.K., but not much atmosphere (no other guests - most use the restaurant for room service). The small cafe at the lobby is a nicer place to sit down for a while.

The Residency has very nice, spacious rooms and an attentive, kind staff. Very secure and with great amenities. The food is amazing as well. I would recommend this to anyone traveling to Lahore.

“Tranquil and Very Secured”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 November 2011

The best thing about this hotel is it's location and the sense of security it provides. Even though it's located somewhat in a residential area far from the markets, malls and the usual bustle of the city. However, I consider this as a bliss. It's a small hotel(limited rooms) and this also gives a very homely feeling and if you are staying for 2/3 days you will soon come to know all the staff by their first name. A perfect "home away from home"

Room Tip: Chooes the rooms in the NEW Wing -- they are boutique rooms and huge.

“Best value I've found in Lahore”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 October 2011

I stayed here for six nights in September and October 2011. The hotel has no sign outside, and good security. The staff are friendly, ever helpful, and always polite. The rooms in the wing furthest from reception are large with views over the quiet, green neighbourhood. I stayed in four different rooms, each with its own distinctive colour scheme. The bathrooms are large, and tastefully decorated. The wireless internet connection was free, and reliable. The car rental service was excellent, reliable and well priced.

Arriving back at the hotel after a long day, and planning to wait a couple of hours in the lobby, I was offered a complimentary room to rest and freshen up. This, the free wireless internet, and the complimentary airport transfers were lovely touches.

The gym looks excellent; the swimming pool, unfortunately, was empty, because of the dengue fever epidemic in Lahore at that time. The massage is reasonably good value at PKR 2,500.

A few areas for improvement: the bed linen probably needs replacing, or washing more gently; the shower was occasionally cold in the morning (not really a big problem in a hot country, but chilly after an air-conditioned night...), and I would have appreciated fruit and green tea for breakfast, which was otherwise limited. It would be good if Pakistan's no smoking rule was enforced in the lobby and coffee shop.

But absolutely no complaints, and will happily stay here again.

Room Tip: The rooms in the wing furthest from reception, eg. 310,311,314. But my colleague stayed in rooms...
