After driving through the city of Peshawar in noth-west of Pakistan, whereat we met both many lovely and picteresque things (British fort, nice architecture, colourfull bazaars, etc) and not so good things (poverty, overall decline of the city, rubbish and early 20th century atmosphere, unstability and lack of security on the streets), and visitng Peshawar University (Central Asian Studies Department), we have been welcomed at Pearl Continental Hotel, an island of peace and stability, which we found to be very well place to have rest and it has excellent cuisine (restaraunt)!
