“NOT recommend for any foreigners!!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 29 December 2011

This hotel does NOT look like the pictures in its website. It is actually old and look old even its lobby. My room is old but A/C works well. The cover of the toilet in my bathroom is WOOD. I also see a big cockroach in my bathroom. Cable TV has only 4-5 channels. WiFi slowly works at the lobby only.

It is not on the main road so not too noisy. It is quite far from downtown and Mandalay Palace but close to Maha Muni Paya (5 mins. by taxi). Not many good restaurants around hotel. You may need to get from somewhere else. They actually have their own restaurant but I've never tried.

The staffs at the counter can not speak well but quite helpful. They arrange us a taxi to Maha Muni Paya and Mandalay Jetty for me which are quite expensive. It may be cheaper if you can get a BLUE taxi by yourself. The taxi driver picks us up to Maha Muni Paya at 3:45 am!! which is too early. It should be 4:15 am. so he has to wait for us to finish the face washing ceremony around 5:30 am. Then he asks for more money after get us back to hotel because he has to wait for almost 2 hours which is not our fault. I finally pay him a bit more but not as much as he ask for.

The breakfast has no choices. Only fried rice or stir-fried noodle which are just OK. Coffee, tea or orange juice and that's all!!

By far, it is the most expensive ($30 for double room) and worst hotel in my trip. An agent in Yangon books me for $25 per night but they insist it must be $30 like in their website. I don't want to waste my time to look for other hotels so I stay with them. Big mistake!! I am NOT going to stay there again. NOT recommend this hotel for any foreigners (may be OK for Myanmar people if they can pay cheaper).
