“Amazing.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 August 2010

Hey yall.. :)
I stayed on the hotel for a week.
It was a very nice holiday.

The cleaning.
The cleaning was very good.
The rooms was always clean, and nice to be in.
The cleaning lady was also always very sweet, fx. if u not was up when she came, she still came back later and did the work great. So the cleaning was great.

The animation team.
The animation team was very, very, very good, both Nino, Freddie and Bobo.
They did always play a lot good music, both hiphop, rap, r'nb, techno, dance and much more, so there are are something for everybody.
And everyday there was beach volley-ball, and some days there also where aqua arobic and dance on the beach.
And-nearly-every evening there was a show on the hotel, dance for the small and dance for the and dance for the slightly older.
The team was always sooo sweet and helpfull, especially Bobo.

The restuaurant and bar staff.
Always fast and nice.

The rooms.
The rooms was a great size.. Very big!
And the aircondition worked great, and not to much so you will feel cold in the morning when you wake up.
There where lockers to all your thing if you will pack you baggage out.

The restuaurant and food.
The restuaurant was nice, and the food.. There was much different stuff and it was very tasty.

The pool bar.
Nice bar, near the pool and ocean/sea/beach.

The pool and the beach.
The pool was good and clean, and there was enough chairs for everybody.
The beach was nice and the water.. It was so clean and nice to swim in, and there was very little seaweed.
There was not really a lot of colorfull fish on the beach to the divers but if you want to see them you may go longer out, so it would be great to take a tour with tour boat.
On the beach there are also salespeople there have boat trips, camel caravane trips(great trip), paraisailing, banana boat and much more.

Medinaen.
The city in the city!
There are many shops where u can get clothes, caps, shoes, jewellery, food, fruit, cd's, movies and much more.
The are also barbers.
And then there are also hair dresser salons, there are also many hair salons there can do styles like braids, cornrows, senegalese twist, twist, kinky twist, tree braids and styles like that.. And i belive that the hair dressers and barbers are great and can do all kind of hair types good.
The city is so alive, like many african and many southern country citys, so special.. So alive.
Salespeople trying eagerly to sell their things and are nice.
The price is not exspensive if you are a good hustler, and you and the saler comunicates well.
It's a very beautifull city.

Port El Kantoui.
This city is great, beautifull.
It's alive like Medinaen but not so big as the Medina.
The salespeople are also nice.. It was just funny one day a man wanted 5 TD because he had showed some of the accesories he would sale in his shop?
Haha first i throught he might be kiddin, but he was'nt, but we did'nt get to pay, i dont think that he think that anyone would do that, he was just tryin.
But the city is very beautifull.
There are many boat trips there goes from there.

It was a amazin holiday.
I will always remember it, and i would love to come back again.

“Hotel Royal Beach - July 2010”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 July 2010

My family stayed here during July 2010. The rooms are of a basic standard. The room we were allocated was of a poor standard overlooking a building site. The curtains could not be drawn, bathroom door did not close and the vital air conditioning did not work.
On complaining to the reception staff they were very unhelpful and arognant. They claimed the air conditioning worked without evening going to look. Eventually they agreed and said we would get another room the following day. However we had to fester in the unpleasant conditions for a further three days until the management got their act sorted out. Hardly satisfactory customer service.
We were allocated two twin rooms instead of a family room. Despite separating my family at least we had air conditioning and rooms were of a better standard overlooking the sea.
The food served in the restuarant is limited and often repeated. Our biggest gripe was the food was at best only luke warm. The snack bar food is better, although we were all inclusive it was worth paying the extra.
Apart from the reception staff the waiters, bar staff and housemaids made a poor choice of hotel bareable.
The entertainment was amateurish and consisted of a couple of guys playing the same dozen or so songs over and over and dancing on a 10ft by 10ft stage.
On the positive side the hotel does have two good sized pools and access to the sandy beach.
Until the hotel Management listen to their customers and the food improves, I suggest this hotel be avoided and use one of the many other hotels located nearby.
You have been warned.

“FRIENDLY AND RELAXED ATMOSPHERE”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2010

This was my second visit to the Royal Beach Hotel. Although I very much enjoyed my first trip, I noticed there have been many positive changes since October 09.

The staff remain wonderful .. they really go out of their way to make you feel as if you are at home. From Abdoul on the beach who not only acts as waiter but also advises which pedlars are safe to buy from ensuring those guest who choose to do so pay a fair price .. to the polite helpful cleaning, restaurant, bar, reception and office staff.

The food was not only varied but excellent .. even the snack bar where the food was great before has upgraded standards.

If you are looking for a clean, small, child friendly hotel the Royal Beach is the place to visit.

“No complaints at all”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 June 2010

Spent 10 days at the Royal Beach with my daughter and her boyfriend. After the awful reviews in the winter was a bit wary but lovely. Rooms cleaned daily and towels changed. Staff helpful and no complaints about the food at all. Plenty of variety for everyone. Fantastic desserts. Beach sandy and shallow. Ideal if you have kids. We were half board but had snacks in the snack bar at lunchtime. Egg and chips with salad and bread or burger and chips and a beer about £4.50. Couldnt complain at all. They made a birthday cake for my daughter on her birthday, put flowers on the table and everyone sang. Yes, they will diddle you out of a couple of Dinar on changing a £20 note or so but so what. Good bargains in the Medina if you can cope with the haggling. Don't entertain the guys selling on the beach - they will have you over. All in all a good holiday - try the camel/horse/donkey ride at Port El Kantoui - hilarious. ABout two and a half hours for £20 and you see the Camel that drinks Coke out of a bottle. Lady does massages in the hotel - lovely. About £12.50 for half an hour back and neck massage. Well worth it. Entertainment every night - no it isnt professional but at least they try! Drink cheap in the hotel but much more expensive in the bars outside. Would definitely go back.
