A very nice period boutique hotel situated a couple of hundred metres from the sea front. Close to what sights there are to see in Alexandria, with restaurants and some lovely patisseries nearby. Within walking distance of main railway station. Rooms very tasteful, with period decoration. Breakfast first rate. Staff very friendly and helpful at arranging travel. Also close to shops, although they mostly seem to sell shoes ! Had a room on opposite side to the sea and there was a slight problem with traffic noise, which stopped not long after midnight. Pianist in the Lobby Bar in the evening, but bar did not seem very popular. There are other more lively bars nearby if that is what you want. Shopped around and got a very good room rate. Just a shame there is not much to do in Alexandria from a sightseeing perspective, although I'm sure its better with the sun shining (it rained most of the time I was there). Would definitely recommend this hotel.
