First of all a disclaimer, it was over a year ago I went here (do not have the option of putting an older date on the bar above), and I'm just getting round to reviewing now, sorry.
Okay, first appearances are not good at all, it is a little difficult to find down a side street, and the entrance is shared with other buisnesses so you have to go up a couple of flights to get to the reception. However, it is well worth looking past this.
The location is excellent, you are right on the corniche and all the attractions are just a short walk away and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room itself (although with a shared bathroom) was very nice indeed, with a double bed, a fan and a balcony that had a fairly decent view of the med if you faced the right way(right opposite the window was next doors wall, but being on the corniche, this is often the norm for many places). The plastic furniture on the balcony could do with replacing however. The bathroom was very clean (and cleaned regularly, you could tell they made the effort) and fairly well maintained, as was the room. There was just an air of elegance about the place, but then I may have been seduced by the romance of one of my favourite cities. For the price I paid, this was more than I could expect.
The dining room too was amazing, if you can, try and get a seat on one of the tables next to the large French doors overlooking the med, having your breakfast overlooking the corniche, with a slight breeze blowing over you is just an experience to remember. The breakfast too was simple, but very tasty. Fresh, warm bread, a large lot of soft cheese, a selection of jams, juice and a coffee. Perfect.
I would absoulutely stay here again.
