I stayed here for one night with a group of friends on a weekend trip to Morocco. I couldn't believe how nice the area was and how new and shiny the hotel was. We had the corner room on the top floor of the hotel overlooking the ocean. The room had two queen beds, fabulous air conditioning (after 2 weeks in Seville with no AC, this was fabulous), and a beautiful view. The room was clean, new, and had a nice bathroom. On American standards, this is NOT a 4-star hotel. However, on European standards this was a very nice hotel with plenty of space. I would compare it to a newer Marriott Courtyard.
The hotel staff was friendly and polite and spoke English well. It was interesting to observe the cultural differences, but also to see how they are trying to be more "westernized." The breakfast and dinner that we ate in the hotel were delicious. The flatbread was very yummy and the service was attentive and friendly in the restaurant.
I can't speak to the location of the hotel as I only used it as a stop over point after traveling all day. The following day we went to Chef-Chaouen (Spelling?) If you get a chance, go there!
The pool was beautiful and overlooking the ocean. As a female, I would not have been comfortable swimming in the pool in a bikini, or bathing suit for that matter, but it was very pretty. It was interesting to see families on the beach and around the pool. The women were completely covered and the men were shirtless and playing in the pool or ocean.
I would definitely recommend this as a stop-over point from Ceuta to elsewhere in Morocco as it is a comfortable and clean hotel.
