PROs:
1. renovated rooms in 2006 (good quality, nice looks); renovated hall ways/elevator
2. great sea view (for the rooms with sea view)
3. very close to the beach (nice beach)
CONs:
1. the hotel claims the following as their advantages:
free acces to the pool - but the pool is an old one, probably from Ceausescu's time (made of painted concrete)
free children playground - there are only some rusted unsafe swings, dating back from communism era
free sunbeds and free acces to hotel's beach - true, but the personell taking care of the beach is horrible; they treat you like a beggar and they do not care at all of the beach
2. the reception and the restaurant is not renovated at all (so it is the same as 20 years ago)
3. the hotel and restaurant staff is tring to deliver a good service, but they do not know what they are supposed to do in order to get a satisfied customer; the small things that matters are missing.
4. there is a beach bar in front of hotel; this is administrated by other company (not the hotel); and the guys from that bar love to shake the bass from their 200Watts speakers!! And they do that starting from 7:30 till 1:00 AM; sometimes they enjoy themselves with bad quality "karaoke"; as the hotel is 50m away from their "DJ" extravaganza you can imagine the noise in the hotel rooms when you have the window open...
Bottom line: good room, great view, poor service, poor anything else, noisy neighborhood.
