I knew (from outside) this hotel, but never had the occasion to stay here. It is nicely located , just in front of the sea (above the traditional sun-bathing site of Constanta, the beach "Modern"). Unfortunately, the area has a lot of working sites (a building is under construction just besides the hotel) and, in april, when i visited Constanta, is rather deserted and, oh, so very dirty...After 8 PM you have the sensation that you are on a dead planet. But on a dead planet you cannot find the disgusting residues thrown just over the street and on the stairs leading to the beach (yak!)
.........................However,the rooms of the hotel are standard Ibis rooms, very comfortable and clean, with free wifi and a tv with channels in different european languages. The breakfast is rather lame, but in a sunny morning, on the terrace, you can easily pass over the dry and tasteless omlette. The hotel has also some nice conference rooms. But it lacks a decent parking lot. There is a small one behind, but far under the needs of the tourists. Of course, you can park on the side of the street...if you are lucky and find a place. A, regarding the street, it is a one way one and it was a nightmare to succeed in finding the right direction to the hotel. The neighborhood is old (and pitoresque), but streets are tight and like like a maze ...
Overall, for Constanta it is a good place to stay for a short business trip.
