The resort is reached by boat along one of the channels of the Danube. The villas look great from the outside, but the one we stayed in had an old, musty smell, the sheets were too small for the bed, there was one small blanket that barely covered my husband and me, and the stall shower had no curtain, so the water splashed all over the bathroom. At the (very nice) pool, there were signs all over the place pointing to a snack bar, but when we got there, it was closed and seemed to be totally unused. The only place to buy drinks was next to the hotel lobby, and there was no place to buy snacks. Dinner was not included in the price of the hotel, and the food was bad. But since the only way to get there was by boat, we had no choice. Despite the high price we paid for the hotel, we were charged 5 lei (about $1.30) per hour to use the hotel backgammon set. And most insulting, when we checked out, we were charged another 5 lei for a "missing glass". (There were supposed to be four in the villa, but when we arrived there were only three, and they didn't believe us.) While not terrible, it's not a place I'd go back to or recommend to friends.
