We stayed in the Montana Guesthouse for three nights because we liked it so much. The owner was welcoming and helpful. He speaks good English and was happy to be telephoned to speak to the taxi driver to tell him how to get to the hotel.

Our room had a balcony with gorgeous views over Brasov and the mountains. Every day the room was cleaned and tidied to a high standard. The rooms are pleasantly decorated in pastel colours. Breakfast was included in the price and was perfectly acceptable. The location on the edge of the city meant that our room was peaceful.

The downside to this hotel is that the direct path from the city centre involves a steep set of 160 steps. We thought this was well worth it because it meant lovely views over the city. There seems to be an alternative route through some gardens.

In summary, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone who can cope with the climb!

Wonderful experience, we loved this place! Gorgeous views from the balcony, rooms clean, comfortable and inviting. Quick walk to central, if you don't mind a hike up some steep hillside stairs (otherwise it's a short, inexpensive cab ride). Staff was out of this world! They were extremely helpful and charming and went out of their way to make sure we were happy (when we requested a vegan breakfast upon check in, they piled more delicious, fresh food on our table than we could possibly eat). The inn had alot of spaces for sitting, relaxing, reading (a lovely living room). One of the few places we stayed in that was not terribly smokey.

Price was a little high but we think it was worth it.

Romulus, the attendant, was funny, kind and helpful!
