I can't praise this place highly enough. This has been my third visit and it's now my default choice for visits to Brasov. Cristina and Co. have managed to create a new accommodation category: the boutique guest house. Spacious, individually styled rooms, most having some of the bests views in the city. The location is just about perfect for hikers: it is effectively on one of the main paths up to either Tampa or Postavaru and just 2 minutes from the forest. I would strongly recommend making some time to stroll around streets below the guest house rather than just heading off to the Black Church / Piaţa Sfatului.

Cristina is a wonderful hostess. Her place is quite new and nicely decorated. The beds were fine, everything was clean, and it was quiet. I would highly recommend a stay here.

Casa Cristina is a good option you must consider if staying in Brasov. Located in a very quiet location in the slope of one of the hills surrounding the city, it is not very far from the center and all the amenities and restaurants. As others mention, it is not so far but depending on your age and/or your physical condition you might like to choose a different place because it is not an easy walk overall (a good part of the way is not paved, which can make it hard for some).

Offering free wireless internet, I specially liked the cleanliness, the price, the good bed and the excellent sleep quality (ultra-quiet place!). Another thing to point out is the shared terrace of the house, where you can enjoy a very nice view over the city. It was also nice to see that the owners speak reasonably good English.

On the drawbacks side, we were surprised to see that they did not made our room after the first night (we stayed here 2 nights). Also the breakfast is a bit limited and seems to target the local tastes more than the international visitor.

Part of the of city of Brasov is situated in a small valley surrounded by 2 mountains (Postavarul si Piatra Mare). Casa Cristina is located on the side of one of them overlooking the city and the other mountain. It is on a downhill having a moderate climb from the city on a narrow street to reach it. Being considerably higher then the rest of the city if offers you a great panoramic image overlooking the valley and mountain but it also means that you will have to make some effort to reach it if you don't have a car.

It is cheap, clean and managed by a lovely family who do their best to accommodate and help you in any way they can. You can have breakfast on a small terrace on the second floor, which gives you and impressive view over the city. Being uphill also means that is quiet and you will have a restful sleep. Some of the rooms have a beautiful panoramic view, but either way you will like it.

The breakfast is nice (especially served on the terrace), it is creative and plentiful. We have been there twice and plan on returning.
