Andrei and Lucia were very welcoming made our stay very comfortable. They helped with any questions we had and gave plenty of travel tips as this was our first time driving in Romania. Our room was spotless, had new bedding and included a well stocked kitchenette. What I really appreciated was that this place was just far enough away from the street hustle and bustle and also had a front gate for added privacy and security. Could you stay at a fancier place in Brasov? Probably. Would they take as good care of you there or speak to you about your day and give you travel tips like Andrei and Lucia...probably not. We will definitely return to Guesthouse Postavarului the next time we visit Brasov.

The relaxing decor, the comfortable bed, the spotless room and the owners (Andrei and Lucia) were second to none. The guesthouse is in the heart of Brasov, in a quiet but central place. Andrei and Lucia are so charming and helpful, nothing is too much trouble! We felt so at home and it made our whole Brasov experience a very enjoyable one. Would recommend this to anybody! You won’t want to leave the place, a real home from home. Don’t forget to try the homemade “palinca”, a traditional kind of brandy made by Andrei. Enjoy!

Price very good, rooms clean and presented well. Location 5* too. Cant think of a single fault with the rooms.

After moving on to Sibiu the next day we were let down with our accomodation provider (see review!). I called Andrei to see whether he could accomodate us for another night and he couldnt have been more helpful - it the end we didnt need to stay for the extra night but was good to know we had the option.

This guesthouse is in a very good location in the centre of the old town of Brasov.
Strada Postavarului is the next street over from Strada Republicii, the main pedestrianised street where all the bars and shops and atmosphere of the town are. It is quite easy to find this guesthouse, catch bus number 4 from outside the main railway station , after buying a bus ticket for 1.5 lei, The end of the line is at a bus terminal by the main park, then a short walk to Strada Republicii, and then the next street over. The couple , Andrei and Lucia and family who live here are very friendly and helpful. It is very easy to walk around Brasov from this address, as the main Piata is just 100 metres down the road. Breakfast is not provided, but there are plenty of cafes nearby, also a Spar supermarket next to the Star department store about 200 metres away.You can also catch the number 51 bus back to the railway station from the bus stop around the corner. If you decide to stay at this guesthouse I think that you will enjoy your stay in Brasov.
