We really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was well layed out, everyone was very friendly and it really felt like we were all the way in the woods.
The thing that made my mind up to stay there was the view!
It's the very last hotel on one of the narrow streets and there is no buildings infront by the room balconies to obstruct the view of the trees, valley and mountains. We noticed that there is also a ski run back to this hotel on the map.
It has a nice big restaurant but only served breakfast which was included in our stay, but that wasn't a bad thing. We had a fun dinner at a traditional Romanian restaurant in the woods walking distance away.
The staff is all very friendly and helpfull not like in other parts of Romania where clients service is really poor.
It was the quiet season during the week and weekend we stayed there so we were able to bargain for a slightly better rate.
The bathroom was great with a big corner bath and a big window with views (you should always check out the bathrooms of a hotel), new beds and furniture. (You have to watch out for those old, springy, ditch in the middle beds here in Romania)
The hotel is also kids friendly. They have pony rides and horse carriage rides. On road and off road. a Play ground out front and big spaces for kids to run in. For older kids there is a pool table and general sitting area with big screen TV.
During the off season, when the snow is still there and no one else is, it is magical, very quiet and feels secluded like a cabin in the woods with great mountain views.
