The hotel is situated near all the turistic attractions. The position is excellent for visiting the old town.
The room was very clean and we had a great view to the town park.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
There is no insect net at the window.
Breakfast was included in the room price but it was not buffet breakfast; a waitress serves at tables. We had to ask for butter as she didn't bring with the "cold platteau". In one word - a poor breakfast
RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO VISIT THE OLD TOWN.

I stayed at Hotel Capitol for 5 nights. Room was clean and modern except for one problem - no wifi in the room. For me it was a great inconvenience, as I had to use the computer in the lobby which was virus infested and both the screen and mouse seemed to have a life of their own...
Breakfast was supposed to be a buffet , but since they had very few guests, they had a buffet only one day. The rest of the day food was served by waiters. Quantity and assortment of food left quite a lot to be desired...
Location was excellent, as around the corner I found the pedestrian mall and the heart of the city, and across the street from the hotel is a very nice park and on the weekend they have all sorts of activities there - a band, arts and crafts stalls and some pantomime shows.

In general Brasov is a charming city, very clean and well kept, with pleasant relaxed people. A very big contrast to Bucharest.

Walking on Str. Republicii (the main street) I happened to enter a travel agency (Tes Travel, Republicii 5) asking about day trips. It proved the best thing I have done in days. The Travel agent Christina turned out to be a treasure of information, advice and help. She drew me the best and most economical plan in a way I could not have done myself. Never underestimate the knowledge and experience of an insider. Highly recommended!

This hotel is fine for a lads holiday. Clean rooms, friendly staff, nice views of the city and comfortable beds. We stayed for a week and found it affordable and convenient.

I will say though, this hotel is not suitable for a romantic getaway, in fact if you're trying to woo a lass you're better off next door in the palace.

I was not a big fan of this hotel, old furniture, keys don't work well and no air-conditioning, which is a must when going in July.
