After our stay in Bucharest we moved to Sibiu, and the Tour Hotel was the Continental Forum. Outside you will find a typical communist time style building, all in stone and open to a parking in a roundabout. Up to here the best of the hotel.
Location is fine at just some minutes away from the Medieval area and the Brukental Museum.
Rooms are all blue, with blue carpet, blue door, blue walls and blue furniture. A dream for Smurfs lovers. Away from colour tastes, rooms are medium size, the carpet was clean and the toilet too. The bed was quite comfortable but, again in Romania, pillows are the slimmest you can imagine.
Shower and toilet are in a cristal box in the middle of the room, small and not very practical: no place for your bath stuff, no ammenities and no towels when we arrived. By the way, none of us had towels in the room at arrival.
During our stay there was a youth congress, noisy as hell, we had to complain at 3:00 am to the reception desk demanding someone to call noisy rooms. They were quite efficient. Due to this massive congress we had really few attention from the staff so be cautious and confirm if there are events running before you come to this hotel.
Breakfast deserves an specific point: is dreadful!!! low quality, not very clean stuff, rude waiters and unhealthy products. Forget fresh fruit, fresh juices, fresh bread variety and welcome fatty industrial muffins and dairy.
In a word: go further in your hotel search in the area, and if this is your chance don't expect much.
