I have stayed here a few times in recent years and each time I have been impressed with the quality and value of this hotel. As others have mentioned the rooms are huge and well fitted out. I particularly like the firm matress with simple (clean and fresh) white duvet. The swimming pool / sauna is a great combination for relaxing. It also seems to offer a lot for business meetings with the conference facilities which I will bear in mind for the future.

I hope to return sometime...

Situated about a 20 minute walk from the city centre or about 5 minutes by car. Selected this hotel as the ones we usually stay at - Hilton and Ramada - were fully booked. Don't really know where to begin with this review. At first glance the building looks modern and clean with its own handy parking spaces at the front. Inside however your are immediately struck by the complete lack of decor and rather clinical aspect to the reception area. You could quite easily mistake it for a hospital foyer. Check in was OK but no dialogue whatsoever by the person attanding us (self, wife and teenage daughter). Rooms large and clean with decent enuite facilities but furniture somewhat cheap and destined to a short life span I suspect - all veneer and completely impractical for the sink area in the bathroom. Mid-afternoon and off to the restaurant on the ground floor adjacent to the reception. Typical enormous 'Soviet-style' canteen sort of place one used to find in Romania (and still do in older premises) with rows of tables and some separate tables at the window and in the middle of the room. Large undecorated concrete pillars adorn the restaurant giving the impression of a building site. Once seated it was immediately apparent that the table cloths had never seen soap or water - filthy and most off-putting. Moving to any other table to find a cleaner one was a fruitless enterprise. The food itself was pretty dreadful and totally uninspired which matched the waiter service. Cheap enough but couldn't wait to get out of the place. Breakfast the following morning was even worse. We arrived later than most but still well within the time allocated. Tables everywhere with used breakfast dishes and the same dirty table cloths. At the buffet bar there was absolutely nothing that any of us wanted to touch finally settling for a cup of tea before a speedy departure. No. This simply won't do. In 2011 in a fairly modern and forwarding thinking Sibiu compared to other towns this was just an appalling experience other than having a decent nights sleep on fairly comfortable beds. To the owners and management I offer the following advice - clean up your act and start embracing something approaching customer service otherwise your hotel is doomed to failure. The Ramada is a far better option for similar price and the Hilton better although a touch more expensive.

I stayed at Libra for 10 days and was pleasantly surprised by its quality, high level of service and cleanliness. Restaurant downstairs was rather cheap, yet food quality was top notch. I also recommend booking a massage at the front desk. It's only about $10, but you'll be amazed by the results. Hotel is located about 3 minutes away from city center in a quiet part of town, so sleeping with open windows is highly recommended

we spent a very nice new-year in this hotel. the hotel it's almost new, it has free acces to the swimingpool, sauna and gym. the prices in the restaurant are more than reasonable, even though it's a four star restaurant. very clean. not very quiet.
the hotel service it's ok, the restaurant peronnel it's excellent.

the hotel has 2 parking spaces, and even if they are full you can still find a nearby place to park you car.

the acces to the hotel is simple, it's easy to reach by car or by foot from the city center. from the hotel to the city center you can take a cab, around 3 euros, or walk for 15 minutes.

if you're in Sibiu don't miss Paltinis, a nearby resort.
