We stayed at this wonderful hotel for 3 nights. Our room (#401) had a balcony with an amazing view of the cathedral. Service was quite friendly and efficient. We arrived by car during the afternoon traffic and could not find street parking - one of the staff immediately guided us to the secured parking lot (available for free to hotel guests). Breakfast was generous with lots of food choices. Free WiFi was also available in the room. Overall great value for what you get.

My favorite hotel in Varna! Minute from the Cathedral, very spacious rooms, friendly staff, very clean, and excellent price / quality ratio. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to enjoy the urban atmosphere in Varna.

I stayed there with my kids, and they are still talking about the wonderful suite. The view of the Cathedral right across the street, the old building with atmosphere and the roomy interior all contributed to that special feeling of relaxation and luxury.
The location is truly central, right at the main street leading to the Sea Gardens.
We had to move from the top floor because there was a lot of hot days in a row, and the air conditioning couldn't keep up - but the staff were familiar with th situation and checking for roof insulation problems as well. Other than that, the service was great (they found me a voltage converter and cables!), the breakfast - also remarkable, and we had a great time.

If I head for Varna again, I would choose this hotel again with no hesitation.

I came for a week's stay with my husband and we were both very impressed. Although we initially regretted not staying in one of the resorts, the hotel is in a fantastic location in central Varna. The staff are exceptionally courteous, and the room was excellent value- very big, modern and comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful & of average quality. Wifi proved slightly temperamental so bring a data cable from home if internet's essential for you. Buses and taxis are a 2min walk, right by the cathedral, by the very helpful Tourist Information Office. Definitely recommend visiting the giant, crumbling Bulgarian-Soviet Friendship monument on the outskirts of town, as well as St Konstantin resort- much less brash & noisy than Golden Sands. It's only a few min away on the bus. La Pasteria restaurant round the corner from the hotel is really good. I'd also recommend doing the City Tour early on as you'll get an idea of all the sights- it goes to the resorts too, and stops right outside the hotel.
