Went to this hotel on a late deal package, so wasn't expecting a great deal. The trouble with this hotel is that we are British. They put preference on Russians, and Germans. The rooms are brilliant for the price we paid, compared to what we have paid for on previous european holidays. The food was deplorable, it was cold, and very unhygenically all over with no protection. It was worse than an old works canteen. Even the toasters did not brown the bread, unless done at least 4 times. Which made the bread rock hard. The rooms are cleaned spotlessly, and there is a small shed, that sells coffee, and cake, and lovely ice creams situated in the grounds. This is actually the best place to change your money, a better rate than the rip off hotel. There is no lifts in the hotel, were put on the top floor. Both of us are not in the best of health. So the 46 steps nearly killed us. This is after walking up the 50 steps in the back garden. Which is the access point. The snack bar at the bottom of the gardens serves good snacks, but the waiters reckoning up needs scrutinising, and he always rounds the change down, to their benefit. It rained a couple of times whilst we were there, and most bars, cafe's,restaurants are outside. So if this happens you and the meal are very wet, and you are still charged. But this was more of a laughable experience. What wasn't a laughable experience was the amount of stomach upsets we experienced (s***s). This was also experienced by other travellers who we spoke to. so take some imodium with you. As i said,it was our first, and it will be our last time. But we went for a niece's wedding (my brother lives out there) and we are glad we had done it. As everyone is different it should be tried, especially as it is loosing it's quaint charm. And becoming a concrete jungle, just like Turkey is. But to put it into prospective, this was advertised as a 4 star holiday. It is really a 2 star. So don't expect more, and our friends stopped in a 5 star hotel, and theirs was worse. So do some research before you go. And take some imodium
