I stayed there during my time at the 2011 CEV Beach Volleyball Callenger presented by M-Tel for 6 days and the overall impression of the hotel was quite good. At the first day the flushing did not really work propperly but was fixed really quick. Due to the beautiful hot weather it was a little hard for the air condition, but all other things worked out very well. The rooms are nice and the breakfast is also ok. Due to the fact that many players live there as well during the tournment it was a real cool flair and the organizer also arranged a transfer from the hotel to the courts and back, which was a nice service on top.

So if you want to enjoy the spirit of Beach Volleyball in Varna ... you have to check in there!

I must endorse what other rewiers said about the Aqua Hotel being extremely basic in service and facilities. Room was clean though. Besides its closeness to the railway station makes you feel isolated.
Breakfast was meager and the staff at the breakfast lounge/cafeteria/restaurant was rude and weird to say the least.
Reception staff was kind of distant and trying hardly to be helpful.
The only good side of this stay was the price. I paid some 40 €.

The worst experience I have ever had. I am not sure that it is a hotel at all, may be hostel is the right description.
Please never do that ......

Me and my boyfriend (my husband now) went there for Easter - to spend some time together away of the work. The hotel is located next to the railway station so was great for us as we came by train. The price for Easter was cheap and that was one of the reasons to stay here. The hotel is new and clean. The room is basic - nothing special. The breakfast was good - as it was Easter we had eggs and sweet bread every morning. There is also something like bar-restaurant in the same place where we had our breakfast. We had a small problem - my boyfriend left his magazine at the bathroom and after we came back we saw that it was missing - we called the reception and they said that the cleaning lady thought that is trash! Horrible! Was an expensive English magazine - as my husband had difficulties to read Bulgarian we found this expensive magazine for him and they decided to throw it out!
