What a great place to relax. The hotel was spotless and the staff were friendly and polite. We went for a quiet relaxed break and found this hotel perfect for our needs. There are lots of sun beds and the pool was great. The beach is about 5 minutes walk but is nice when you get there however there is a small charge of 8lev per sunbed. There are lots of shops, bars and restaurants along the beach front offering cheap food and drink. The locals are friendly but not pushy so walking around is enjoyable. The food in the hotel was good and offered a good range of meals. Outside of the resort theres not much to do but if you want sun in a relaxed atmosphere this is a great value place to go.

The Hotel Altas is one of the many hotels in the resort of Golden Sands it is located two blocks from the beach via quite steep roads and paths. It is official classed as a four star and bedroom and lounges live up to this standard. The dining room however lets it down and can only be described as more of a canteen than a restaurant and whilst food was in abundance it soon became very repetitive with Chicken or pork being the only meat's on offer with salad's and pasta also not changing much during our week's stay. Say this the food was edible and some dishes were very tasty. The hotel mainly caters for all Inclusive deals but we only had Half Board which suited us fine. We could not fault the cleanness of the hotel overall and towels were changed daily, the reception staff were always available and helpful. All in all we had a very enjoyable week at the Atlas and speaking to other holiday makers it appears that food is more or less standard in Hotels throughout the resort.

Hotel fantastic can not fault it food was fantastic different choices staff were friendly rooms very comfortable and clean, pools great a bit crowded but at this time of year only to be expected - we travelled half board and to be honest thats what I would do again drinks were so cheap elsewhere and nice to go for a walk after dinner - not many (if any british) there about 10 mins walk to beach and 3 minutes to shops

We (my partner and a couple of other friends) stayed here, at the end of June to the beginning of July and I can gladly say we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
The hotel is about a 5-10 minute walk from the beach and around a 3 minute walk to the start of the shops.
We found that the staff were very polite and friendly with a couple exceptions, which can be expected anywhere to be honest. (If you're rude to the staff then you can't really expect them to remain polite and friendly with you.) There we're a fair few rude people staying at the hotel at the time we we're that's for sure.
Our rooms were spacious and clean and the cleaners were excellent. We always had extra toilet roll, fresh towels and the beds were made or changed. The bathroom was lovely too. We were surprised on how large the shower was. The rooms are provided with a safe (which you have to pay a small fee for), a hair dryer, refridgerator and a t.v. There is also AC in the rooms.
The hotel food is okay. Some of the dishes were nice, others not so nice (depends on your taste of course) We chose to eat out occasionally, especially at breakfast.
The pools aren't very big and sometimes it was frustrating trying to find a sun lounger without a towel reserving it. ( It strictly says no reserving sun loungers with towels) I guess this rule doesn't count for some people? The pools aren't very warm, but once you're in the water its not a problem.
Overall an excellent stay and we'd deffinatley stay again!
