Great boutique style hotel. Had a lovely room all decorated individually.

The hotel is very stylish - lobby bar, dining room and exudes quality at a reasonable price.

Loved the service, especially at breakfast where the staff lift the silver covers off eveyone's breakfast at once to reaveal the food!

I stayed at the Grand Hotel London (better known as Musala Palace) 2 nights, i guess they changed the name to give an international flavour, but it has little to do with western style. bulgarian style wallpapers are quite depressing and make the hotel look oldier than it is.
however I liked my stay there, services are excellent, staff is polite but they could try to smile sometimes, free wi-fi, clean and comfortable rooms, intl tv channels and good breakfast a-la-carte.
I was positively surprised by the restaurant which offers gourmet dishes of excellent quality and good bulgarian wines (merlot and cabernet mostly)

We recently stayed 2 nights in the Grand Hotel London, which is Musala's new name. Rooms are large, clean and reasonably comfortable. I wouldn't give it 5 stars, since it is obviously a product of the area, a bit old fashioned maybe, but the hotel was much better then expected. The location is fantastic, in the middle of the city center, and for your car there is 24 hour security present.
The restaurant served excellent food at extremely reasonable prices. As a hotel guest you even recieve a 10% discount on the fod and drinks bill.
I think this is probably your best bet in Varna, although the rooms don't come cheap.

We absolutely love the place!

The interiors are decorated beautifully with antique style, and the inexpensive yet very high quality of the food in the hotel restaurant is a very pleasant experience.

At the restaurant, the waiter will serve you complimentary freshly baked bread and two kinds of butter and pour a water in your glass before you drink it up during the whole meal.

The waiters and waitresses there are very well organised, and their service is more than you could wish for.

I love every dish there, but if I were to recommend one then it will definitely be the foie gras sautee.

The inside of the restaurant look much like beautiful Restaurant Lasserre in Champs Elysees in Paris, but the cost will be nothing comparable. I think for a meal consisting of starter and a main (they come in BIG portions too) it will not be more than 25 euros per person, plus drinks and desserts(3 to 5 euros).

The cafe at the lobby floor also provides very tasty great quality food too.

Strongly recommended for anyone, although the atmosphere might not be for small children. I would love to be there again.
