It is a small hotel with only 15 rooms. It has both single and family rooms. It is very clean with very beautiful view,. All the rooms have a fridge, TV, air condition, balcony and shower. Some of them have living room. some of them have double bed. It has parking for almost 15 cars. Its cuisine is very good. Traditional food and grill is attending to be tasted. It has bar to the lobby. It is not very close to the center of town.

“We loved it and we will be back :)”

Great location. Friendly and helpful stuff! Quite small street. Very close to the pedestrian zone of Varna and railway station as well. The rooms and bathrooms are quite small, but functional. You may have breakfast in hotel for reasonable price off 5lvs (2.50 EUR). Be carefull when you want to change money. Do that strictly in banks (recommendation is Reiffeisen Bank, cause they don't take any provision). For any further information contact the owner of the hotel Mr. Todor. We had a great time here! Maria, Natasha, Tina and Boris from Belgrade, Serbia.

“Nice staff, great location - shame about the hotel......”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2009

A real shame this because the hotel could be a gem - the location is brilliant and much more peaceful than would be the case of those nearer the beach, the staff are friendly and helpful wherever they can be but the rooms re fundamentally just a bit minging. The first that hits you when you get in the rooms is just how little effort has gone in to making you want to spend any time there; too many costs cut and too many corners cut. Simple and basic need not mean this. Carpets, too well worn and over trodden, could do with replacing (or even better tiling), bed sheets that are old, stained and tatty and wallpaper peeling off the walls make the whole thing a rather unpleseant sight and really quite inexcusable considering the price. The bathrooms are also in desperate need of attention. I'm shocked because the place gets a recommendation in the usually infallible Lonely Planet but really I would recommend shopping around until reports come in of a substantial refurb. Sorry.

“Adequate Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 October 2008

Arriving in Varna we drove around calling at hotels to check condition prices etc. We discovered the Antik Hotel down a relatively quiet side street and after viewing a room and obtaining a very good price we stayed for 2 nights. Overall we were pleased with the hotel and would return again. The owner, who was also the barman etc, stayed on the premises at night and was friendly and efficient. The hotel was small -10 rooms, clean and our room was cleaned each day. On the negative side, although the decor was good there were odd things that stood out. The wallpaper - very nice - but crinkled in places. The carpet - good and clean, but not trimmed where it met the walls! Now these things did not bother us as the hotel and rooms were clean, but if anyone was fussy they may be affected by this lack of attention. The hotel was quiet at night as was the street, however we were there in mid October so less tourists. The centre of Varna was a 5 min walk and the pedestrian area was full of shops, restaurants etc. so the hotel is in a very good position. Parking in Varna can be a nightmare and the hotel only has 2 reserved parking spaces at 10lev a day. Breakfast was an extra 5lev but we opted to go to one of the many nearby restaurants.
So to summarise - a good hotel, ignore the lack of finishing touches - friendly owner, good position and good price(negotiated).
