The Sankt Peterburg hotel is an ideal place to stay while visiting Plovdiv. The suite we stayed in was very large and the view from the 15th floor was inspiring. The bed was exceedingly comfortable and my only criticism would be there was no bath; however we didn't ask for a bath so maybe there are other suites with them. The hotel has three large swimming pools and this has to be its key strength - great for families when the weather is hot.

Location wise it is only a few minutes away by taxi from the old town and the taxi fee is miniscule. We would certainly stay again. It's a great base for anyone to stay while visiting Plovdiv.

Nice room with plenty of space and a view overlooking Plovdiv. Hotel as a series of pools - all seem to close at the end of summer regardless of weather. First week of september and it is 27c but the entrance to the pools is blocked with chairs. One person is swimming - I assume a member of staff. Ok so a trip to the panorama bar - no that is closed as well.

Breakfast is a nightmare - a huge room decked out for weddings and they lay up one table in the corner with poor quality unrefrigerated food. Horrible experience - why don't they serve breakfast in the Panorama bar?

Hotel is too far to walk to city centre - fortunately taxis are cheap!

The location was good to access the city but not be in the noisey center. If you like walking, there are plenty of things close by.

I give it an "average" rating due to some technical issues in the room and service, which was not bad, I guess, the staff simply lack adequate training, though were polite and attentive. The studio we stayed was very spacious, bathroom was large and clean (no shower curtain and moisture outlet fan were available). Wireless internet was bit of an issue in the room, but not in the lobby and restaurant. There is a nice water park adjacent and in the hot summer days, that would be the coolest option to enjoy few hours by the pool bar. Breakfast was just OK. I say we had a good value for our money received exactly what we paid for.
