I was seeing a concert at Albion College and just needed a room for the evening. I didn't expect the hotel to be wonderful because of the price I paid, but I was not very happy with the results I had.

I requested a nonsmoking room. It was completely obvious that the room they gave me was a newly made nonsmoking room. I couldn't close the shower curtain while I showered due to it reeking of smoke, it was even stained yellow. The curtains and beds even smelled of smoke. The hotel was quite accommodating and moved me to a new room when i requested. I normally would not have complained, but i am a nonsmoker, and the room smelled like a bar.

The room the moved me to was much nicer, and had no odor of smoke. Although, there was a bug in the room, it appeared to be a box elder bug. It wasn't a cockroach. The door rattled every time someone opened the door to the outside, and this kept me awake most of the night.

I was very happy with the customer service at this hotel, but I would request to stay on a different floor, everyone was on the first floor and this seemed to be where all of the problems were.

I have been staying at this Hotel for over 15 years......and it continues to get better. New Owner is Very nice and greets you with a smile....and wants to know if your stays are to your satisfaction!!! Great indoor POOL!!! Nice Bar and Resturant. And this hotel is Very EASY to find......right off the highway......I been traveling for years and, and finding a hotel that's not off in town somewhere hard to located is a plus......

After reading the other reviews, I was worried about staying here, but it turned out fine. Reception was pleasant and friendly. Our room was large - totally redone with new bedding and carpet - nice. I was also pleasantly surprised. that our room had a microwave/fridge This really shows DO NOT judge anything by its cover ......This hotel compares to a Baymont and a Holiday Express!!!

They said the people next to us said we were to loud so they refunded them there money and billed me there room charge i am still fighting it. Please email e if you also encountered an overcharge from this hotel. Also air did not work, cable broke, toilet would not flush the first time usually took 2 or 3 times, and garbage in the trash when we arrived terrible and when i complained i was yelled at by renee the manager. There is a nightclub in the hotel and everyone is rowdy and loud so if you like quiet dont stay here if you like it clean dont stay here, AWFUL!!!!!!!!
