“we really enjoyed our stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 August 2011

The family who run this pansion are really friendly and hospitable. They even transported us to and from mostar bus station. The pansion location is about 15 minutes by foot to the old bridge. Mostar is a great experience. We went to visit Katja's House - leaflet in the pansion - and the owner gave us a delicious drink of lemon and rose water before taking us round the lovely old turkish house.

“Too far; indifferent service”

We stayed at Pansion Rose in Mostar for two nights. As many reviewers have noted, the hotel is not very close to the old center - and is a decent-sized walk down a major street with poor (at some points non-existent) sidewalks. We didn't feel comfortable on the street at night, and it was eerily deserted during the day as well (except for the traffic).

The service at Pansion Rose was indifferent - we didn't feel very welcome and the owner didn't make an effort to help us with bus travel information, etc.

The hotel itself is more than adequate - the rooms are quite clean, and the breakfast was good. However, it is just too far from town, and I would recommend picking accommodation closer to the Bridge.

“Great place to stay, though not the closest to the old town”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 July 2011

We stayed here for one night, it was good value for money, the room was spotless and large. The breakfast was good for the money. We found the owners very helpful and not at all disinterested as some have said, maybe its a cultural thing. It is quite a walk to the old town along a fairly busy road though, maybe not something everyone would be happy with late at night. There is parking, although its sometimes awkward to get in and out, as its on a busy road and you can get blocked in.

“Excellent value for money.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 August 2010

We stayed at the Pansion Rose for two nights. It is a very well run establishment with friendly staff, all of whom speak English. The room was large, airy and clean. We had a lovely balcony that over looked the local area and we were able to use. The breakfast was excellent and we had a choice of hot or cold food with good coffee. There is free parking and and the owner is happy to move your car for you as the parking area backs out onto a busy road. He is obviously very experienced at this task!
I would thouroughly reccomend this pansion if you were to stay in Mostar.

“great vacation”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 August 2010

This was an incredibly nice and laid back vacation. Pansion Rose is one of the best pansions in town. We have been to several pansions that are higly rated in Mostar and this one was the best. Great rooms with our own bath. Very clean and highly serviceminded staff. The owners goes a step further always to help and make your stay comfortable.Very nice walk to the Old city, 5 min, and great private parking(very hard to find in Mostar). The breakfast was good, you can even order if you want something special but a day ahead. We wanted musli for breakfast and the lady fixed it for the next day with a smile on her face...As said, very good and enjoyable vacation. Oh, yes, I almost forgot...We wanted to go rafting on Neretva one day, and the owners fixed it in a second. This was their recomendation, an it was unforgetable...Such a lovely nature and great food and service at restaurant at rafting.
