“Our second choice, but a good spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 9 November 2011

We ended up at the Bristol after Pellegrino claimed they did not have a record of our booking. We went with some trepidation, but the hotel was great. We had a good room with a view over the river, and the service was professional and polite.

Certainly the Bristol did not have the character that we saw at the Pellegrino, but we were happy with our stay.

Mister was an absolute gem!,

Room Tip: Get a river view

“Good commercial hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 October 2011

We were on a month-long tour of The Adriatic and Albania/Macedonia with Adventures Abroad. It is difficult to rate a hotel that is surrounded by bombed out buildings. Both our room and bathroom were large and clean. The air conditioning worked once I got tutoring on how to operate it by the very nice desk clerk. The most surprising thing about this hotel was it had the most channels on the television. Breakfast buffet adequate.

“Book directly with the hotel--dont use an agency”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 September 2011

We booked through booking.com who for some reason go through another agency with a very tough cancellation policy.. We had booked for 4 nights but our room was basic--both bedside lights weren.t working and the shower head holder was broken. We asked if we could only stay for 2 nights but were told that we would get no refund so did stay for the 4 nights and got a better room.

The agency which booking.com used is a Greek company which caused confusion when I got my credir card bill.

It would have been cheaper to have booked direct.

Lovely view from balcony ;good situation in town.

Breakfast variable--some days better than others.

Room Tip: Ask to see the room ;check the lights ;air conditioning; shower etc before unpacking.

“Could do much better”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 June 2011

Pros: Good view from top floor. Comfortable beds and bed linen. Quiet at night despite being on main road. Cons: Air-conditioning out of order. Newspaper stuffed into what appeared to be a hole in the wall (Room 501).
Very mediocre breakfast and service -- we were there 75 minutes before closure -- no attempt to update the hot dishes. This hotel claims to be four star. It is nowhere near.

Room Tip: Ask for fifth floor.

“Fine and central”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 12 November 2009

I stayed one night in Hotel Bristol. My room was a basic one. It had a good view of Mostar and Neretva River: Room, toilet, sheets and towels were all clean. Mini bar was almost empty. The food was OK. The open buffet breakfast wasn’t very rich. The best side of the hotel was being near to the old town. It was very central and a good spot to start walking around the city.
