On recent a trip to Bosnia-Hercegovina, we visited the storied city of Mostar. As is our custom, we drove into the city with no hotel reservations. Meandering through the streets we stumbled onto the Old Town hotel. It was so attractive from the outside that we walked in thinking we probably could not afford it. Our hotel budget is typically in the $100 to $150 range. To our very pleasant surprise, the owners accommodated our budget and from there things just got better.
The room, with attached bath, was immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. Duvets covered in soft silk, color TV, desk, etc.; ample space to spread out. Breakfast was included and the lady of the house served a sumptuous one! Cheese, cold cuts, fresh juices, coffee, tea, the works.
When I had trouble connecting my laptop to the hotel's wi-fi, the owner not only loaned me a router, but came up to the room and helped me get it connected and working. Now that's service.
Located just steps away from the famous bridge, Stari Most, and the sights of the old town, we spent a very pleasant 2 days wandering the cobbled stone streets.
If you visit Mostar, we strongly urge you to try out this hotel.
