Staying at Hostel Majda is frustrating. There are way too many people cramped in the tiny apartment. Two showers are not enough. They push the tour like crazy and it is very overpriced. Majda is overbearing. She looks over your shoulder when using the computer, barges into your room without knocking to ask you a question, and even forces you to wake up for breakfast. She means well, but needs to back off. The location is just o.k. for the price. It's quite a walk from the hostel to Old Town. Luckily, they offer a ride to the train and bus stations. If not, it would be a half hour walk. They are a very nice family, but it feels like you are a teenager again with a mother who gives you no privacy.

Incredibly kind people. They were so nice with us. Majda came to pick us up to the police station since we weren´t able to find the hostel and when we arrived there, they offered us some tipical bosnian coffe and cakes to welcome us!

Recommended this hostel by the owner of one I stayed in in Sarajevo with a friend. Took the train from Sarajevo & was picked up at the station by Madja. Upon arrival, our rooms were not ready (being before checkout) so we were treated to tea & cake courtesy of the grandma of the house. Madjas & her family went above & beyond in catering to guests' requests, and her brother's tour of the surrounding countryside (for only €20) was well worth it. While Mostar only requires 2-3 days max to see everything, all backpackers coming to Mostar should consider staying at this wonderful guesthouse :-)

I made last minute plans to visit Mostar. Majda picked me up from bus station in the rain, provided a complimentary fruit and drink and told me about the house rules. Since this was the off season (holiday) I was very pleased she opened her place up for me to stay. It was centrally located to everything. Although I traveled during the off season, from all of the information she has: organized trips, book exchange, free wifi/internet, tv, etc it was a very welcoming, open place. Again, I could rate this high enough and I am a fairly seasoned traveler. My trip was to explore, take pictures, try the food, walk through the shops which covers most of winter's greater activities. It was quiet for me as it was the off season.
