“Awesome Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 September 2010

Miran and Mia were fabulous. The accommodations are simple- but cozy and clean. You basically feel as though you are staying in their house. I would say- it added to the experience of Mostar. What made the stay unforgettable were both Mia and Miran. As two female travellers from the US, we felt safe and cared for. Also it was nice to be picked up from the station. They were very kind, enthusiastic and helpful. I would definitely recommend it- and would stay there again.

“Central position and low price, but poor rooms”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 August 2010

I stayed there for one day with my fianceè. I made the reservation just writing an e-mail, without paying any advance. The owners (Miran and Mia) are kind, and both of them speak English. If you need it, you have free Pick-Up and Drop-Off to bus and train station (we didn't use it, 'cause we were moving by car, but Miran asked me for it by e-mail). The hostel is close to the center of Mostar and it's made of a small building were Miran and Mia live and flats in other building (were was also our room). Mia leave you see the room before paying. Our room was quite poor (much more then what website's photos let you see), but clean enough; the bathroom was shared. They use to leave the flat's door open...I don't know why they don't use a key...The parking place is on the street and obviously it's not a hostel private place(so, let mind it if you care of your car a lot...however the next morning our new Panda was still waiting for us). You can have internet free access from their own pc.

“Disappointed...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 22 July 2010

The pickup from the train stn is great (but that is because u would probably have great difficulty finding the place otherwise and they dont want another (cheaper)hostel to get ur booking. However, similar to another reviewers story, I was meant to get my own bathroom but ended up sharing with the family as they didnt' put me in the hostel (which would have been great to meet people) but in their family home (which was still close to old town) in an upstairs room. The house was still close to old town and seemed to be occupied by the owners grandparents and parents and brother. I didnt complain as it was only one night, I also found out i was sharing the bathroom that night. They were friendly, but had issues with not receiving my change when paying for the room (they said they would knock on my door later that night) - I ended up having to wake up the family in the morning, and got shortchanged.
I think there would be better options in Mostar.

“Ok option for Mostar”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 November 2009

We actually booked a room with private bathroom for our one night stay but on arrival were shown to a room with no bathroom. We decided not to complain because it was only one night and the shared bathroom was kept very clean. Later we were told that apparently they had someone else check in with the same name as me and so they had been given the room with bathroom and they would prefer to stay there.... this was ok for one night, any more than that and I would have asked to move to the room I'd booked or move somewhere else. They did discount the price to the shared bathroom price. The price was very good - I think we paid 10 Euro per person for the night. No breakfast.
Location wise the place was good, close to the old town. There was free parking for our car. We found it very hard to find though, drove around for ages before getting out and walking to find it and then bringing the car back.
The strangest thing was our room, it seemed to be in what may have once been a conservatory but is now closed in because the large wall behind the beds were large windows... but on the other side of the large windows was the next bedroom. They had curtains on their side and kept them closed but we had no way of controlling this, no curtains our side - so when getting dressed or into bed you just kept hoping no one would pull the curtain in the next room and stare in at you! Very strange! Mostar is amazing though and well worth a visit, this hostel was ok for one night though we'd probably try somewhere else next time.

“Very friendly place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 May 2009

We stayed here for two nights in May 2009. Miran and his wife are very helpful and friendly, and were happy to give us advice on good bars/restaurants to go to, as well as things to see in Mostar. It is only about a five minute walk to the old town, and there are cafes even closer than this. I would definitely stay here again.
