We stayed for 2 nights and would have loved to have stayed longer. We were collected from the bus station as well as being dropped of again after our stay which was a first! the hostel is lovely and cosy - it has a feel family feel to it which is great for meeting and chatting to others. The breakfast was the best I've had in a hostel and was lovely eating it in the cosy balcony. We did Bata's tour which was great fun. We didnt have the best weather but was completly made up for by Bata himself who was just hilarious and genuine. We have come away from Majdas and Mostar simply loving Bosnia and it's wonderful people.

Bata collected us from bus station and installed us in his colourful, cozy, clean Hostel down near the river and only 10 min walk from ancient Starimost bridge (rebuilt in recent years) Bata's delightful mother and sister cooked delicous breakfasts and we were treated as ONE OF THEIR FAMILY.
A very pleasant stay for this Kiwi couple in our late 60s. Bata talked freely about the situation in Bosnia and we left with a better understanding of the history and trauma of that beautiful part of the world.

If you are looking for a 5-star experience, then Majdas is not the right place for you. If however you are looking for warmth, cosy and a homely experience in Bosnia, this is it. Mother, sister and brother touched our hearts by their warmth and hospitality. We left Bosnia thankful for having been able to share our holiday and precious moments with Majda and family.

This was a great and friendly little hostel near the old town of Mostar. It isn't in the old city, but the walk isn't all the far and it was great for us because we had a car and parking was easy. The welcomed us with cake and water and offered to cook us breakfast in the morning. Even better, we were leaving for Croatia the next day and they exchanged our money for us.
